The Environment according to the color

What do you want to reflect? Discover the ideal color for your house.

A new color scheme can drastically change the environment of a room or of a whole house.

Painting and injecting a new color to the walls is capable of transforming the most ordinary room into an attractive living space.

What do you want to reflect? For whom or what is the room intended? The color establishes the atmosphere of the room, therefore you must choose those that create the sensation that you desire.

Light colors

These create bright and spacious spaces. For the eye, they seem to move away and make the rooms appear larger and the ceilings higher. Light colors reflect most of the light, they can make a room that faces north, or a closet, or a hallway seem more lit.

White and other light colors are ideal for children's bedrooms. It is a neutral color that does not compete with the colors of the furniture. But "eye", the Tyrol or luster on the walls, can modify the brightness of any color.

Smooth surfaces and glossy paintings reflect the maximum light; those with rough textures and matte paintings retain more shadow and reduce the minimum of clarity.

Dark colors

If you want to create an intimate atmosphere, dark colors are a good option. These absorb light, the walls seem closer and give the impression that the room is smaller. That's why they are widely used for libraries, studies, or quieter areas of the house.

These colors can also be used to disguise areas with problems, such as uneven walls or to make a high ceiling look lower. Of course, dark walls tend to dominate a room, so a good recommendation is to use lighter shades of color to balance the room.

Warm colors

The reds, yellows, browns, oranges and peaches are warm colors. The intense ones create stimulating spaces, while the dimmed ones make the rooms a more pleasant place for social gatherings.

Hence, these colors are widely used for the dining and breakfast areas. It has been shown that people feel very comfortable with these colors, so in cold climates, warm colors are preferred.

Cold colors

The blues, greens, lavenders and grays are cold colors. The intense ones are fresh and exciting, the gray attenuated ones are calm.

What these colors do is to give the feeling of being less enclosed, which is why they are widely used in bathrooms and very small rooms. In warm climates, the use of white colors and cool colors can make the whole house look very comfortable.
